Dan Dicks of Press for Truth reports this morning that Charlie Veitch of The Love Police was arrested yesterday in Toronto for refusing to cooperate with the police.

“While using his megaphone to inform the people of Toronto about G20 related issues we were surrounded by police who demanded our identification. When Charlie stated that he wishes to remain anonymous he was immediately detained and placed under arrest. The officer stated that Charlie was being detained under the ‘public works protection act’ for failing to identify himself,” writes Dicks.

Charlie Veitch produces videos of his confrontations with government officials and police. His Love Police blog is popular. Veitch appeared on the Alex Jones Show on May 20, 2010.

“The province has secretly passed an unprecedented regulation that empowers police to arrest anyone near the G20 security zone who refuses to identify themselves or agree to a police search,” the Toronto Star reports today. “The regulation was made under Ontario’s Public Works Protection Act and was not debated in the Legislature. According to a provincial spokesperson, the cabinet action came in response to an ‘extraordinary request’ by Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair, who wanted additional policing powers shortly after learning the G20 was coming to Toronto.”

Alex Jones Tv: Feds Order 7 Day Restriction On Bank Withdrawlals!

Update: Citigroup Says Feds Ordered 7 Day Restriction On Bank Withdrawals
Announcement stokes fears of old fashioned bank runs if economy takes a turn for the worse

A new advisory being sent by Americas third largest bank to its account holders has stoked fears that major financial institutions could be preparing for old fashioned bank runs if the economy takes a turn for the worse.

Originally reported by John Carney over at the Business Insider website, Citigroup is sending the following information to customers along with their bank statements.

Effective April 1, 2010, we reserve the right to require (7) days advance notice before permitting a withdrawal from all checking accounts. While we do not currently exercise this right and have not exercised it in the past, we are required by law to notify you of this change.

An almost identical advisory to the one being sent out can be read on page 22 of Citbanks Client Manual effective January 1, 2010, which can be read here from Citibanks own website.

We reserve the right to require seven (7) days advance notice before permitting a withdrawal from all checking, savings and money market accounts. We currently do not exercise this right and have not exercised it in the past, states the manual.

According to the Future of Capitalism blog, Citigroup originally claimed that the warning was only sent nationwide as a result of a mistake, but that the measures do apply to account holders in Texas.

However, in a statement, Citigroup confirmed that they had reserved the right to impose the new 7 day rule on all account holders nationwide, but claimed they had no plans to enforce it. The bank stated that they had been forced to enact the new policy as a result of federal regulations.

When Citibank moved to unlimited FDIC coverage in 2009, we had to reclassify many checking accounts to allow for immediate withdrawals in order to ensure all customers qualified for the additional coverage. When we moved back to standard FDIC coverage with most major banks in 2010, Citibank decided to reclassify those accounts back to make them eligible again for promotional incentives. To do so, Federal Reserve Reg D requires these accounts, called NOW accounts, to reserve the right to require a 7-day notice of withdrawal. We recently communicated this technical requirement to our customers. However, we have never exercised this right and have no plans to do so in the future, reads a statement released by the bank.

Over the last 18 months, numerous rumors of bank runs, bank holidays, and limitations on access to cash at ATMs have been floating around. Citigroups new policy to restrict withdrawals wont do anything to calm such fears.

As we reported back in 2008, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., which guarantees individual accounts up to $100,000, only has about $50 billion to insure about $1 trillion in assets across the nations financial institutions.

This revelation prompted fears that an accelerating amount of bank closures could absorb FDIC funds and leave holders of money market and traditional savings accounts exposed.

Michael Springman on Alex Jones Tv 4/4: CIA Ordered Visas For 15 of The 19 9/11 Hijackers in Jeddah

Michael Springmann, a former head U.S. consular official in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, who complained about a CIA visa factory in Saudi Arabia and was fired as a result.

http://911review.org/Wiki/CiaVisasForPatsies.shtml

http://www.infowars.com/

J. Michael Springmann, formerly chief of the visa section at the U.S. Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has testified that he rejected hundreds of suspicious visa applications by Saudi Aabian men similar to those named as the 9/11 HijackersPatsies when we was head of the consular section of the US embassy in Jeddah, but C.I.A. officers repeatedly overruled him and ordered the visas to be issued.

Springmann protested to the State Department, the Office of Diplomatic Security, the F.B.I., the Justice Department and congressional committees, but was told to shut up. He later realized that this was a CIA operation, and wrote about it in the Spring 1997 issue of the journal Unclassified.
After 9/11, Springmann observed that 15 of the 19 Hijackers Patsies got their visas
from the very same CIA controlled consulate in Jeddah
( US News and World Report 12/12/01).

“Only one of the 15 provided an actual address – and that was only because his first application was refused. The rest listed such not-so-specific locations as “California,” “New York,” “Hotel D.C.,” and “Hotel.” One terrorist amazingly listed his U.S. destination as simply “No.” But he still got a visa. Nikolai Wenzel, one of the former consular officers who analyzed the forms, declares that State’s issuance of the visas “amounts to criminal negligence. The law is clear: “Every alien shall be presumed to be an immigrant until he establishes to the satisfaction of the consular officer, at the time of application for a visa, that he is entitled to a nonimmigrant .” State’s Deputy Press Secretary Phil Reeker remarks that 214(b) is “quite a threshold to overcome” – it just wasn’t for Saudi applicants…”
