Should Obama drastically re-draft that Patriot Act and give us back some of our freedoms we used to have?

Or should we constantly live in a state of fear and let the government tell us how afraid we should be? What color is the threat level again today? I missed FOX news this morning and the daily terror alert to make sure I am on guard against anyone who looks different than me.
